A Generous Company, LLC ("AGC", "we", "us") operates helloagc.com and the giving programs described on it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email address, mobile number.
- Program information: the organization you are connected to, gift amounts, and messages you choose to attach to a gift.
- Technical information from visiting this site: IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. We use this to keep the site working and secure.
We do not collect payment card numbers on this site. Payments are handled by our payment partners, who process them under their own terms.
Why we collect it
To deliver gifts to the people they are meant for, to verify recipients before funds are released, to report back on how a donation was used, and to answer you when you contact us.
Text messages
Two groups receive messages from us, and both opt in before we send anything. A congregation member activates a band by scanning its QR code and registering their mobile number. A person who receives a band from someone texts us first, to check a balance or ask a question. We do not send texts to anyone who has not opted in.
What we send
Activation confirmations when a band is registered. Updates to a giver about the gift they made. Balance and program information to a recipient who has texted us. Occasional service notices about the program itself.
How often
Message frequency varies. Almost every message is a direct reply to something you did: activating a band, giving one away, or texting us a question.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email help@helloagc.com.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Sharing
We do not sell your phone number. We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share information with
Service providers who help us operate: messaging, payments, and hosting. They may use your information only to perform work for us. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as needed to run the program you took part in and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then we delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email help@helloagc.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site and our programs are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
